Archie Seigler (1889-1970) was born in Dillon,SC, the first child born in the town. He joined his father's furniture business in 1905 and remained until WWI when he enlisted and was sent to France. Seigle endured several historic battles during the war and thus suffered from his experiences; he spent several years afterwards in New Mexico to recuperate his health. Seigler arrived in Wilmington, NC in the 1920s and started a pressing and dry cleaning business named Enterprise Cleaners. He was also involved a number of fraternal activities and clubs in the area and was a member of the Wilmington post of the American Legion. He is buried in Oakdale Cemetery.
